My name is Will Dodge and have over 20 years of experience as a compensation analyst and consultant, a career that has allowed me to work with some of the largest organizations in the country. My expertise in designing and managing compensation structures has benefited companies with 15,000 full-time employees in one setting and 20,000 full-time employees in another. My career has been built on the principles of fairness and strategic alignment, ensuring that employees are rewarded appropriately for their contributions while aligning with the organization's overall goals. Through this work, I have had the privilege of influencing the lives of countless employees, helping them achieve their financial goals and ensuring that companies remain competitive in their industries.
In addition to my professional career, I have pursued academic endeavors at notable institutions such as Louisiana State University at Alexandria, Regis University and The State of Texas at Austin. My academic journey has enriched my understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of compensation and human resources, allowing me to bring a scholarly approach to my consulting work. This combination of practical experience and academic knowledge has positioned me as a thought leader in the field, enabling me to tackle complex challenges with a well-rounded perspective.
On November 16, 2016, my life took an unexpected turn. I suffered a severe stroke that left me with significant physical challenges, including paralysis in my left arm and leg. The impact of the stroke was immediate and profound, drastically altering my ability to move and function independently. Tasks that once seemed routine became monumental challenges, and I had to confront the reality that my life would never be the same. The journey from that day has been one of immense difficulty, but also one of profound growth and adaptation.
As a result of the stroke, I now rely on a wheelchair for mobility, which has become an essential part of my daily life. Learning to navigate the world differently has been a challenge, but it has also opened my eyes to new ways of understanding and interacting with my environment. The wheelchair is not just a tool for movement; it represents a new chapter in my life—one where resilience and determination play a central role. Every day, I work to find new ways to live fully within the limitations imposed by my physical condition.
This life-changing event has required me to adapt to new ways of living and to navigate the world differently.
With the support of those around me, including family, friends, and colleagues, I have been able to face each day with resilience. My journey is far from over, but I continue to approach each challenge with the same dedication and determination that has characterized my professional career. The road ahead may be uncertain, but I am committed to moving forward, embracing both the struggles and the successes that come my way.
